Program Summary
The Front-End Web Developer program’s foundation is based on the development and process of web design including required hands-on training through the courses. The students will gain the knowledge they need to apply by learning how to understand HTML5 semantic elements, building, and styling HTML TEXT. Through our program, students will learn essential concepts of javascript, CSS, HTML. Students will also learn how to build responsive websites and use Git Hub in web development. Those who are interested in building a career in web design and media, those who want to advance their web programming skills, and those who enjoy the conveniences of mobile computing should take a look into our front-end web developer program. Program Overview
In this program students will get a hands on approach to front end web developing. As a front end web developer your responsibility is to make sure that website visitors can interact with the webpage. Our program prepares students to design program code, and debugging. Students will learn how to use HTML, JavaScript, as well as CSS to bring their concepts to fruition.
The student will create tools that improve website interaction as well as implement their designs on mobile websites. Upon completion of this program, the student will have an understanding of how to manage software workflow, utilize testing for usability, fix bugs, and follow SEO best practices. Students will become savvy in using JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, and design frameworks including Bootstrap and Foundation. Students should have a minimum skill set to pursue a career as a front-end web developer. Students should be fluent in coding languages such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and jQuery. Students should also understand server-side CSS, be experienced with graphic design applications, as well as understand the principles of SEO.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the program, students would be eligible to sit for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) 98-375: HTML5 Application Exam.
