Program Summary
The pastoral leadership program is a divine designation of a pastoral calling revealing the heart and soul of a pastor by developing leadership characteristics. The program covers a vast area of study touching on such subjects as the union of pastoring and leadership, the pursuit of God’s image, and understanding the first and great commission of Christ. Program Overview
This program is designed to get students ready to become effective leaders within the church. The pastoral leadership program prepares students for ministry vocationally, as well as edify the gift of pastoring of an already elected or ordained pastor. This program offers students a deeper understanding of the pastoral fold within a 5 fold ministry. The student will be introduced to Christian education, pastoral counseling, worship, and the importance of mission work within the kingdom. The program also helps develop key fundamentals of congregation leadership as pastors are considered shepherds of God’s people. Students will learn how to nurture strong relationships between God and their flock. Upon completion of this program, students will have gained the benefit of understanding pastoral care, counseling, preaching, as well as leading a congregation. This program helps students develop the practical skills, biblical foundation, as well as spiritual maturity they need to lead a flourishing Spirit-led ministry.
Career Field
With the program’s strong concentration on discipleship, students who are in pursuit of a career in Christian leadership, counseling, evangelism, or biblical teaching will be able to apply those principles to those.
