Program Summary
The Business Communication program offers an understanding of organizational leadership. Effective leadership and collaboration are essential in a successful business. 

Our program offers team building and development that touches on diversity fundamentals, personality, and relationship effectiveness as well as business management skills. This program is most beneficial for those who are interested in improving their leadership skills in the area of verbal and non-verbal communication with the ability to sit for a national certification upon completion of the program.

Those who generally pursue credentials in Business Communication are individuals who are passionate about people development, leadership roles, and other coaching positions. 

 Program Overview
In this program students will gain the understanding and knowledge of how to persuade, inform, and promote goodwill within the business. In any relationship communication is key to its success. This is very important when it comes to relationships within a business setting. This program prepares the student to use patterns, rhetorical considerations, reflective thinking, as well as drawing conclusions to communicate within an organization. Upon completion of this program, students obtain a well-rounded ideology of how employees and management interact with one another to reach goals in an organization. ​

Certification

Upon successful completion of this program, students would be eligible to sit for the National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Business Communication (B-COMM) exam. Students who complete this program will be prepared and are eligible to sit for this national certification exam. 

Career Field

For those pursuing a professional role in ministry, this program will help you develop the skills and qualifications needed as a professional. Although not a requirement, once students complete the program, they have the ability to participate in an externship and/or hands-on practicum so as to practice the skills necessary to perform the job requirements of a professional in this field. Students will be assisted with completing a resume and/or other requirements necessary to work in this field. All students who complete this program are eligible to participate in experiential learning and will be placed with a participating organization near their location.

After completing this program most of our graduates find that their resumes are more attractive to employers when seeking a professional role in the administration, guest services, etc.
