Program Summary
The Program is based upon the biblical and theological foundations of Community Chaplaincy. Students will obtain the knowledge and understanding of facilitating faith, collaborating with other professionals working in community service, while gaining the skills and attributes that is required to be successful in this role. This program will unveil a deeper visual, showing the Face and Heart of God. Within the program, students will gain a better understanding of their true identity as it relates to the calling on their life. This program closely relates to those who have the gift of intercessory, leadership and a strong passion for teaching and reaching those who may not have a relationship with a local community church. Most individuals will go on to hold careers in community based organizations that has a responsibility to bridge and buffer between individuals who are faced with emotional distress.
Program Overview
In this program, students who have a passion and deep desire to help individuals with their bereavement and healing process will have the opportunity to attain the understanding on how to care for families in these instances. Those who are anointed with the call of Community Chaplaincy, will be challenged to travel to places most are unwilling to go, learning how to present the ministry of Yeshuah. The program is geared towards equipping students with the mindset that Community Chaplaincy offers to others care, along with the Gospel of Yeshuah. This teaches the student how to witness and testify from their own life experiences to those in need of a physician. Upon completion of this program, students will learn how to perform within ministry by partnering with mental health professionals, healthcare providers, prison staff, as well as the military, to bring the love of God to the community. Students will develop key fundamentals to build relationships that nurture opportunities to minister to individuals and families that are affected by the tragedy of sudden loss. Students gain a profound understanding of how the word of God can pierce the hardest of hearts and surrender a person’s heart to the Will of God over their life. The program also equips students with the understanding on how to support someone who may be going through a divine healing process.
Certification
Graduates who are interested in community work such as volunteering, outreach and non- profit community based organizations that provide care services, will find that this program will provide the knowledge and understanding necessary to sit the “5 Fold Chaplaincy Board Certification” with confidence.
Career Field
Upon Graduation, students will be able to apply for chaplaincy roles in hospitals, law enforcement, government branches, non-profits, colleges and universities, the military and local fire department. With a degree in Community Chaplaincy an individual can pursue a career as a Spiritual Care Manager, Resource and Associate Chaplain, or a Director of Religious and Spiritual Life.
