Evangelism and Outreach

Program Summary

This element of the program is based on the foundation of evangelism and outreach, giving students the understanding of both areas within a faith-based and biblical context. Students will learn to apply different techniques and perspectives as they develop better management methods to perform outreach and evangelism. The courses concentrate strongly on the student’s ability to fulfill God’s will by using a kingdom approach to saving souls while practicing the characteristics of discipleship. The program teaches successful outreach techniques through creative methods of door-to-door evangelism; building genuine friendships, and utilizing key principles to reach individuals within the community in a timely and effective fashion. Students who have a devotion to outreach, and a desire to represent the kingdom of God will find that these new skills will prepare them greatly and give them the opportunity to fulfill that passion. Evangelism helps individuals in their confession and proclamation of the gospel of Christ and Graduates will enjoy reaching those who are lost as they enter the field of outreach, working in various roles as directors, administrative assistants, and missions directors, as well as private faith-based organizations and non-profits.

Program Overview

The Evangelism and outreach program is catered to teaching students the foundational perspective of biblical mission, speaking to that evangelistic passion in those individuals with a mission to edify the well-being of the church. This program envelops the importance of biblical teaching and preaching; that encourages leadership development, discipleship, prayer intercessory and compassion for those in need as the focus is to fulfill God’s plan for the church. Scholars will gain a revelatory understanding that the love for the lost is of the utmost importance when evangelizing the gospel of Christ. The program gives a strong theological standpoint on global ministries placing their primary focus on mission-based strategies to present the gospel of Christ inside and outside of the church. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to display key principles and methods of intercultural communication, crossing racial, ethnic, economic, and religious confines, that enables graduates to be effective witnesses of Christ. Graduates will adopt key principles and sound doctrine of the Christian faith, that focuses on biblical foundations, historical developments, and theological methods within the best practices of evangelism and outreach. For scholars who are looking to master a career in creative community outreach, associate pastor of evangelism, discipleship catalyst, volunteer support associate, or work as a field support specialist, this program will open the door for those opportunities.
