Program Overview
Being a Photography Professional requires one to think outside the box. Photography uses a mixture of one’s creativity and the beauty that is within the eye of the beholder. A photography professional is not just one who takes the image but someone who understands the business side of photography.
This program prepares the student to explore and expound upon the concept of entrepreneurship in photography. Students will use media applications such as Adobe and photoshop to help aid their mission in making their projects look professional. Upon completion of this program, students will have a well-rounded understanding of what it truly takes to run a professional photography business. They will learn the key ingredients of becoming a photographer, using the most up-to-date cameras and media applications to help build a portfolio, which will assist students in finding their niche market and what it takes to run a successful photography company with a team or independently. Although it is not a requirement it is advantageous to have some knowledge about photography, and media applications.
Certification Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to sit for the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) Exam for Visual Communication Using Adobe Photoshop (PS) exam.
