Project Management Specialist CAPM

Program Summary

The Project Management Specialist program is a great way to enter the project management field at entry level. Individuals who are most interested in the Project Management Specialist program are generally those who were not officially trained but have a need for growth within their organization. Those individuals already in a agile professional role within their organization will find this program very beneficial and a great path towards certification. Students will gain insight into team building, understanding company sizing and project scheduling. The program lays out a great array of courses that equips learners with the basic principles of organizational projects, communication essentials and a solid approach to team management and some key fundamentals for managing projects from start to finish. Most students who gain their degree in Project Management Specialist move on to achieve their Certification in Associate project Management (CAPM.)

Program Overview

This program is designed to help develop entry-level project management professionals into Certified associate project managers. Our program is geared towards students gaining and understanding the fundamental knowledge of project management as well as its processes and proper terminology. This program prepares project managers to be set apart from other candidates within the same career field. This program also offers students with the effectiveness and credibility needed when working on team projects. Upon completion of this program, students will understand goal setting, project environment, and project development. Students will also be effective in project management scheduling, be able to identify risks and pitfalls, as well as obtain agility skills and agility approach. A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is needed to enroll in this program as well as 35 hours of project management education. This program prepares individuals for a position in ministry, managing non-profit organization projects, grants, and 501 c(3) applications. This field is fastly growing and needs qualified individuals to handle the day-to-day responsibility of running church projects.

Certification

Upon successful completion of program, students will be prepared to sit for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM®) exam.
