Program Overview

The core of the program will be geared toward students learning behavioral management, child development, problem-solving techniques, decision-making skills, and time management; to advance them further in their careers in the education industry and the unique ability to serve school-age kids in faith-based institutions academically. In this program, students will learn the ins and outs of becoming a Teacher’s Aide Sunday School professional. The Sunday school element is designed to give students a deeper understanding and training of the content and message of the scripture on how to best teach the Word of God. Students will gain training and the opportunity to focus on youth education while giving them a panoramic view of sound doctrine. This program is designed to sharpen students by providing the skills needed for to deliver the word of God to children in a way they can understand. Graduates will have a revelatory understanding of how to contribute an adventurous atmosphere to establish a quality biblical program for children. The program will aid the preparation of how to guide students individually in their academic studies, they will also be able to guide them through participation in recreational activities, along with understanding the process of how to create a lesson plan. Students will also learn how to monitor behavior, take and keep attendance, and manage paperwork. Upon completion of this program, students will have a full understanding that the desire to work with children must be in conjunction with personal characteristics such as patience, being friendly, creative, empathetic, calm, trusting, committed, and responsive. Students will also gain skills such as organizational planning skills and becoming effective communicators in order to work with kids that have special needs. The program helps individuals develop technological skills and soft skills which are necessary to truly make a difference in children’s lives.

Students will learn how to utilize knowledge of classroom management and lesson plan creation to help assist in the creation of projects while learning about the word of God.
